Who builds this

One person. I build the app, write every page on this site, and run the YouTube channel that shows how each calculation is put together. I am not a Chartered Professional Accountant, and I do not pretend to be one: that statement stands on every page here that touches tax, because you should weigh everything I publish accordingly.

Why it exists

Your own record. Not last spring’s. The room figure a portal shows you is the room as of its last update, not the effect of the contribution or withdrawal you made this morning. The app takes the dates you enter and computes your room against the CRA’s published rules, on your device.

What you are trusting

Not me. The rules. Every limit, rate, and deadline on this site is cited to the canada.ca page it came from, on the page that uses it, and the certification page records how the app’s formulas are checked. When a figure and its source disagree, the source wins. Tell me and I fix it.
